Wednesday's Devotional - 9/09/2026

Good morning! Do you ever wonder if God is listening when you pray? Sometimes, it can feel like your prayers just are not getting through. But faith is not strengthened by comfort or ease. It is empowered by adversity and testing. Will you still believe when it's hard as you do when it's easy?

We need endurance in this journey of faith. A runner builds endurance by pushing past comfort. Our faith starts with trust. But God desires for us to grow. So, He allows testing to stretch us beyond the initial experience of belief. Through the struggle, we learn to cry out to Him deeper. Through that groaning, we learn His voice.

He inclines His ear, He acts and we receive the breakthrough. Sometimes, it's immediate. Sometimes, it's years of waiting. But, He always comes through in His way, in His timing and according to His perfect will. In turn, we grow, we deepen our relationship and dependency upon Him.

He is not distant or indifferent to our plight. He develops His character in us as we strive. We love Him, because He hears us and answers us in a relationship experience. He is kind and merciful. That is why we love Him for who He is and not just what He can do for us. We can always call upon Him, because He hears us. Trust Him to know He loves, listens and answers as you make a great day!
