Tuesday's Devotional - 9/08/2026

Good morning! Sin is difficult to elude. The world makes it so easy and accessible. If we slip, God doesn't seek to destroy us, but to restore us. The devil condemns, but Jesus restores. God's mercy is everlasting and he is generous to extend it to us in times of need when we slip.

It is not for us to take advantage of and use as an excuse to continue in sin. But it is our opportunity to draw closer to Jesus and hide His word in our hearts that we might not sin against Him. We should do our best not to sin, but we have an Advocate if we do to seek forgiveness.

The thought of temptation can be overwhelming because it is everywhere. When you don't desire to sin, you can feel anxious about all the opportunities for sin afforded today. You can't keep yourself from sin, that's why Jesus came. Let this comfort you and delight your soul that we have a way out to escape its grip. Let this comfort help you today to know God has you so you can make a great day!
