Wednesday's Devotional - 7/08/2026

Good morning! Sometimes, we get in hurry and rush things when God is calling us to wait. We pray and then take off from prayer to figure out how to solve the problem we asked God to help us with as if we forgot what we just prayed about.

Waiting doesn't mean sit idle doing nothing for a miraculous intervention from God. It means we stay active in faith, prayer and hope with expectation while serving. But it also does mean we actively listen for God's answer and instruction.

In our strength, we tire quickly, especially in spiritual matters. This verse reminds us to rely on the Lord to give us strength beyond our own. The entire chapter is about reliance on God. Just like eagles rely on thermal winds to climb high in the sky, we rely on God's strength to push us forward even in exhaustion and weariness.

He gives us the promise of provision in strength to be able to do what our human ability cannot do alone. We can run our race of faith without weariness. We can walk without without fainting from exhaustion. He is the everlasting God. Trust Him to give you the strength you don't have in yourself so that you will have all you need to keep going and make it a great day!
