Tuesday's Devotional - 9/22/2026

Good morning! I just celebrated my twenty-third wedding anniversary with my wife a couple days ago. We both vowed to love each other for the rest of our lives. That alone did not prove our love for each other. It has been how we treated each other over those years that has made our marriage last.

Love is not just words or emotional feelings. Love is shown by actions. Anyone can say they love someone, but it is proven by the actions you take to show that love to be genuine. Jesus is saying the same thing. Our love for Him is proven by our actions toward Him.

If we keep His word, which keeps us in the protection and provision of His will, He will abide with us. His love will overshadow us and guard our lives. When we take action with our love toward God, He responds with actions to affirm us in His love toward us. Just like a marriage takes work to last, so does a relationship with Jesus. Keep the words of Jesus and He will keep you as you make a great day!
