Tuesday's Devotional - 9/15/2026

Good morning! Have you ever walked into a room where you instantly felt like you don't belong? It can be intimidating and make you feel awkward, anxious and like you just want to leave. In the time of this passage, to be labeled a "foreigner" or "stranger" meant living without legal protection, citizenship, or enduring roots.

Through the work of Christ, the barriers that once separated us from God have been permanently removed. We no longer have to feel awkward about approaching His throne of grace in our time of need. We have been brought near by the finished work of Christ. By His amazing grace, you have been granted full citizenship in the kingdom of God and welcomed as a child into His home. Your status is not dependent upon your performance or social standing, but upon the enduring promise of the Father.

If you struggle to feel like you fit in or belong, know that Jesus has made a place at the Father's table for you. You belong in the household of God and have been given citizenship in heaven. No one can take that away from you. Abide in His grace and let Him wash His peace over you with His love. You are always welcomed in His fold and have a place in His house. Rest in this assurance as you make a great day!
