Good morning! True discernment is learning to see through God’s eyes. Too often, we allow our natural eyes to do our discerning for us. We evaluate people, situations, and circumstances by what we can see, understand, and reason, yet our finite perspective can only take us so far.

What appears strong may be spiritually weak. What appears insignificant may carry great spiritual purpose. What looks like failure may be the place where God is doing His deepest work. The Holy Spirit invites us beyond the limitations of natural perception. God sees the condition of the heart, the motives beneath the actions, and the things hidden from human observation.

Discernment isn't simply seeing more clearly with our natural eyes; it is learning to see what God is showing us. Before we draw conclusions based on what we see, we should ask, “Holy Spirit, what am I not seeing?” Then, give Him time to show us before jumping to conclusions. The thing we reject by what we see may be just the very blessing and answer to prayer God is sending. Look through the lens of true discernment as you make a great day!
