Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Being a child of God is a great privilege. It is not a right simply because He loves us; it is a gift granted to us through His grace and mercy. Never take it for granted.

When we realize we undeservedly are His children, it should change how we think and act. When we think about the grace and mercy we have received in place of the judgment and penalty we deserved, it should give us a desire to live differently.

We should aspire to be imitators of God in holiness and righteousness being kind, gracious and merciful towards others. As we have received, we should give. In all you do, act the way God does and do justly. Live like you know you belong to the King and are loved so that you can teach others about His grace and make each day a great day!
