Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! No longer do we need to go to a priest to receive forgiveness like the old covenant required. No longer do Gentiles have to stand a far off to worship and have no atonement for sin. Jesus paid it all!

Jesus was not only the spotless Lamb of God sacrificed for the sins of all, but was also the High Priest of heaven come down to make the sacrifice to atone for sin under the law and establish a new and greater covenant.

We can go directly to Jesus and receive the forgiveness only He offers. He stood in the gap between us and the wrath of God's judgment for our sin. He paid the penalty and gave us freedom. Choose wisely what you do with this precious gift!

As the Son of Man, He was the sacrifice. As the Son of God, He was the only One holy enough to be the High Priest of heaven to offer up the sacrifice. It is once and for all. He is our Mediator and has paid the price that we may all worship God in freedom. What a gift! Thank Him today for His precious grace and love as you make a great day!
