Thursday's Devotional - 7/02/2026

Good morning! The importance of a father is paramount to children. The enemy has done a great job at infiltrating culture to create a norm of having no fathers in the home. Our society has declined severely as a result. Rebellion and crime have skyrocketed since.

God's design is to have a mother and father both in the home in marriage raising kids together. Both roles are important and not replaceable or interchangeable. Kids without a father in the home become angry, rebellious and often lash out in violent behavior. We need godly men and women in the home.

Society will never be strong without godliness in parental upbringing of children. Men, be godly and use moments of discipline as opportunities for teaching your kids. My daughter didn't respond to punishment but she responded to teaching. Instead of getting angry and rebellious towards me, she grew in understanding and changed her behavior.

Fill your kids with Scripture and show them God's consequences for sin. Also understand the difference between sin and a mistake. Accidents happen and don't need punishment. Sin and rebellion need consequences and imparted wisdom for why we don't act like that. I am blessed to have my kids serving the Lord with gladness. Do parenting God's way and you will have a healthy family who know how to make each day a great day!
