Good morning! The enemy loves to keep you so full of busyness that you have no time to spend with God. He wants that relationship distant, weak and broken. He knows if you get close to God, you will have authority, power and strength to fight against the attacks.
Too often, we fill our lives with so much noise and activities that we drown out the voice of the Father who is speaking to us. He wants to calm our spirits, bring peace to our minds and rest to our bodies. But we shut Him out for all the static.
We fool ourselves in thinking we can stay busy and not have time to think about all the things going on. We neglect to take time to sit in stillness and invite the presence of the Lord. We make no room for the reminder of who we belong to. We get so full of doing things in life, that we neglect to fill ourselves with the bread of life.
When is the last time you took an hour and did absolutely nothing? When is the last time you spent an hour in prayer not asking God for a thing but just enjoying His presence and admiring Him for who He is? When is the last time you took an hour to read the Bible without it being on a screen? When is the last time you shut off everything, phones, TV, computers and just listened to the voice of the Father telling you to be still and know that you are loved?
Put this into a regular practice in your life and you will soon find no room for anxiety, depression and worry. You will have His presence to give you all you need to make each day a great day!
