Thursday's Devotional - 10/08/2026

Good morning! In the first six verses on ch. 15, Paul lays out what this verse is talking about and who it is talking to. It is a message to the church to warn and guard against factions in the body based on the maturity level of belivers.
Mature believers can often forget what it was like to be lost and what it was like being brand new in the faith. They can forget the journey that brought them to the place they are making it hard to relate to new believers.
But the mature are called to walk alongside the weak to make them strong in the faith and mature disciples. They are not to look down on those who are weaker, but help to strengthen them. Maturity brings liberty, but that liberty should not cause others to stumble. It should unify the body until we are all of the same maturity and faith.
Be diligent to accept people where they are in their walk. Be willing to help each other grow and mature. Never stop learning or be haughty to think that somehow you have arrived at some great spiritual plateau. We all have much to learn from our Savior! Love one another and accept one another as you were accepted in Christ as you make a great day!
