Monday's Devotional - 10/05/2026

Good morning! People can be very reckless with their words, especially when they disagree with a viewpoint, worldview, or belief of someone else. Words can cut deeper than a sword when used carelessly. We should be careful with what we say and how we say it.
Our words should be thoughtful and used to build people up, not tear them down. It's not just the person being spoken to but those who may hear what is said that is effected by our speech. Does your speech glorify God? Does it edify others? Does it impart grace to those who may hear?
As believers and followers of Christ, we should be speaking life, not death, over others and even ourselves. Let your words not be corrupt with death and destruction. Let your words be thoughtful, careful, graceful, and edifying to all who they're spoken to and may hear them. Choose your speech carefully as you make a great day!
