Monday's Devotional - 9/28/2026

Good morning! Rejoicing isn't a spiritual gift, but a spiritual discipline. You have to teach and train yourself to rejoice in all things at all times. It takes work and intentional change. I work on it every day. It takes a change in mindset and attitude to make it a reality.

Complaining is easy. Humans are full of biases, preferences, and desire for comfort. We must surrender our own desires for the ways of God. How do we start? With a willingness to lay down ourselves before the Lord. Remember the cross to see where sin was defeated, victory was won and eternal life was purchased for all who believe.

When we focus on the Lord and His goodness, we can always find a reason to rejoice. Our circumstances or troubles may not give us a reason to rejoice, but God in His great mercy toward us is always a reason to rejoice. Keep a kingdom perspective to help you learn to rejoice at all times and you will learn how to make every day a great day!
