Monday's Devotional - 8/10/2026

Good morning! Faith and proof are different words that get thrown around in debates about the existence of God. Non-believers often say they need proof to have faith. But faith is not being able to see it to believe it. It doesn't take much faith to believe in what you see, touch or have a tangible contact with.

Faith says, "I believe without having to see and trust it is there." Faith is a decision to believe when you don't yet have all the evidence, proof or answers. Later in this chapter is what has been called the Hall of Fame of Faith. All those mentioned had to believe without all the scientific breakthroughs and technology we have today. They didn;t even have a Bible, yet believed when faith was all they had.

People look at all the proof and evidence we modernly now have and still choose to not believe. Not because the evidence isn't overwhelming but because they choose to ignore it. Many harden their hearts so they can ignore the conviction they feel. They sear their conscience thinking if they don't believe, they won't face the consequences. But the Bible tells us otherwise.

Faith believes even in unanswered questions, lack of proof and unexplainable circumstances. Faith has substance and the subject of a Christian's substance is Jesus. Our hope is in Him and that all things will be answered and made right one day under His judgment.
