Friday's Devotional - 9/18/2026

Good morning! When sin entered the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, mercy entered the world too. It may not always look like that, but God sent mercy amidst judgment. He spared their lives and did not destroy the earth, though He could have.

Because of His great mercy, we see the goodness of God everywhere we go. We can see the sin in the world, but within that, we see His mercy that is beyond what we deserve. Because of sin, we deserve death, but He gives us eternal life through Jesus.

Because of His great mercy, we ought to be a people who desire to keep His statutes. Not for the sake of duty, but out of love for Him and His gracious mercy. Ask Him to teach you His ways each day and to write His statutes on your heart that you would not sin against Him. May we never take His grace for granted and do our best each day to make a great day!
