Good morning! Feelings are something God gave us to be an indicator that something is wrong. They are meant to be like a check engine light to alert you to a problem. They are not meant to be dictators that control your behavior.

Feelings lie to you. They will tell you things that are not reality. People think because they feel something, it is true. But God doesn't guide us by feelings. He gives us His word to discern truth from lies. So, when you have feelings about something, you have a litmus test to prove if it is truth or a lie.

Feelings can also change quickly, so it an effect your decision making skills. It can tarnish your motives from clear thinking and pure intentions, to vengeance and revenge. If we allow our feelings to rule us, we will become wicked in our ways because the enemy will create situations to make us feel certain ways that are not godly.

God weighs the motives we have for everything we do. We will reap what we sow. The fruit of our ways will be the wages of our actions. Be careful what you sow. It will grow and become an orchard. Seek to live pure lives that are full of the Holy Spirit's characteristics and fruit that include self-discipline and self-control. Ask Him to help you with this each day so you can always make it a great day!
