Good morning! I don't understand when someone says they love God, but they hate someone, especially in the church. It's an oxymoron. Believers are called the body of Christ. We are members of Him that make a complete body.
How can a finger hate a toe? Or a rib hate the liver? Sounds strange, perhaps, but think about it. If we love God, how can we hate a member of His Son's body? We can all find reasons not to like things about each other. But true love from God covers a multitude of sin.
There will always be things you find to not like about others, but there will always be things others can find to not like about you. We can't be selfish. Hate for each other comes from the enemy. Love for each other comes from God. Who are you serving? Who do you really love?
If you love God, you can't be selfish. Jesus was self-less with His love. He served even those who would betray Him. If anyone had a reason to hate someone, it was Jesus, yet He loved them anyway. Love God by having a pure heart and loving others. True love comes from God and loves even difficult people who may hurt you. Learn to love like Jesus so you can love God and others like He did as you make a great day!
