Wednesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Because of Christ, we have been made children of God when we put our faith in Him. We are dear children, beloved and given grace in place of judgment. Because we are so loved, we should walk in love as we have been loved.

We should walk in the love of God as imitators of Him who loved us. What does that love look like? It looks like holiness married with grace and mercy. It is uncompromising and untainted from the world's idea of love.

The world tells us love should be universal and all-accepting disregarding holiness, boundaries and commitment. But God's love was manifest in Jesus who never compromised integrity, holiness or commitment to the truth. To be an imitator of God, commit to holiness and love that isn't compromised or self-serving.

Let His love live in you to be a sweet smelling aroma to the Lord. Let Jesus be your example in all matters and hold fast to the truth. Love as you have been loved and do your best to make a great day!
