Wednesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! We are now in the advent season and we think more intently about Jesus and how God sent Him to earth to be born of a virgin, to live perfectly and die on a cross for all the sins of humanity. We also should be thinking of His second advent.

He not only came once to suffer and die fulfilling the law and all prophesies concerning Him, but He also rose from the dead and walked out of the grave. Sometimes we get stuck at the cross and forget the grave. We should think about the cross, but we must remember the empty tomb because it points to Him coming again.

God's grace through Jesus Christ has enriched us in everything. We have forgiveness of sins, assurance of eternal life and access to the Father. This grace has shown us that God will not leave us or forsake us. He will not abandon His children and one day, Christ will come to take His people home. Be looking, be watchful, be expectant and be ready for His return as you make a great day!
