Wednesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! We have to be careful how we treat our bodies and what we put into them. We also need to be equally concerned about what we spiritually digest and imbibe in. Do you think God would feel welcomed in a church building full of garbage, refuse and waste?

No doubt He would not, yet how often do we fill our bodies with unhealthy things that are just trash, refuse and waste? How can we expect God to want to inhabit our bodies as His temple if we make it an uninhabitable place for Him?

We should make our bodies a place where He feels welcomed and invited to dwell. We also need to fill our spirits with healthy things. This means what we watch, listen to and fill our senses with effects our temples where we expect the Holy Spirit to live inside us. Does what you consume in every form of consumption glorify God?

If you don't think God would want it heaven, why do you think He would approve of you wanting it in you on earth? We cannot cheapen the gift of God in Christ and treat His grace with contempt. We were bought with a price and have given Him Lordship over our lives as Christians. Let Him help you to cleanse the temple of that which doesn't belong so you can glorify God in your body, spirit and mind as you make a great day!
