Wednesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm and chapter in the entire Bible. It is 176 verses long and is all about the word of God. It emphasizes the importance of the word for everything we do in life. The word itself is life.

Do you delight yourself in God's word or does it feel like a chore to read it? Do you have a hard time understanding it? There are some parts of the word that are hard to understand, but only if you take those passages alone, without context or cross-reference.

When you learn the word in its fullness, you will understand even the hard passages. It gives light to your understanding, wisdom to your decisions, knowledge to your thinking and faith to your spirit with hope attached. Fall in love with His word by falling in love with Him. Then you will learn more about your Creator, Savior and Helper that will teach you everything about life and how to make each day a great day!
