Good morning! There are many ways we feel pain, sickness and trauma. Oftentimes, we run from the things that cause us pain and trauma and do everything we can to forget about the experience. Sometimes even unhealthy things.
The most traumatic event in history is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. All of the sin, sickness and injustice was put on a perfectly innocent man, who was also God. The very thing that caused many of His followers to be traumatized is the very thing Jesus told them never to forget.
He often said to remember Him and the cross of His suffering. The place of trauma is the place of our healing. The cross is the place where trauma becomes healing, chaos becomes peace, brokenness becomes wholeness and where the hopeless meets the miraculous.
Have you had hurt, trauma or sickness bring tragedy into your life? Don't run from Jesus, run to Him! Though the cross was brutal, the benefits far outweigh the momentary suffering. He paid for eternal life, healing and restoration of that which was broken. Cling to Jesus, look to the cross and you will find healing for your trauma and strength to make a great day!
