Good morning! Motives matter. Why we do anything and everything is more important than the deeds themselves. Even evil people do good things but out of selfish motives.
God looks at the heart and discerns the reason behind the what, why and how of every deed. Seek to do good with good motives out of a love for God. Hate evil, love good and do justly.
Too many people struggle with doing good not because they don't love God, but because they don't hate evil. Until you hate evil, you struggle to love and do good. Let the love of the Lord change your heart.
When you experience His love that has shown you mercy in place of the just judgment you deserve because of sin, it changes you to be an imitator of Him. When we seek to be like Him, He is with us so we can always choose good and make each day a great day!
