Good morning! When Jesus said this, the Jewish leaders were furious and wanted to stone Him to death. Why? You have to understand Jewish history and culture to get the full context.
The tent of meeting had three rooms: the Outer Court, the Inner Court (Holy Place) and the Holy of Holies (Most Holy Place). Each had a doorway to enter them. They were called: The Way, The Truth and The Life. So, Jesus was saying He was the tabernacle or tent of meeting.
This is where Moses talked with God, the Ark of the Covenant was and where the sacrifice for sins were offered by the high priest once a year. Jesus was declaring He was the place where God's glory dwelt, the place holding the promises and provisions of God and the place where atonement for sin would be finalized.
He was the way to the presence of God. He was the truth that set them free and fulfilled the law. He was the life that holds eternal life and no one would get to it without going through Him. He confronted their religion and their own self-righteous hearts. He proved it to be the truth when He rose from the dead. Trust Him, go through Him and know He is all you need for everything in life and the life to come so that you can make each day a great day!
