Good morning! We were not redeemed by the things of this world that man can make, buy or produce. We were redeemed by God's own doing through the blood of His Son who is perfect in every way.
We cannot take credit for our redemption and apart from Christ, there is no redemption. We are guilty in our sin under the law, but under the blood of Christ, we are free, declared "not guilty" and given eternal life.
We cannot cover, bury or remove our sins. It is arrogant to think we could make ourselves holy in the eyes of a holy God. God would not have sent His Son to die on a cross if we were able to somehow do enough, pay enough or give enough to redeem ourselves.
We are in need of someone who, unlike us, is blameless, sinless and spotless. Jesus is perfect and He paid the price for us to be ransomed and redeemed. We are only free because of His great sacrifice. Thank Him for this great gift and remember who redeemed you as you make a great day!
