Wednesday's Devotional - 9/02/2026

Good morning! Many people want to come to Jesus and preserve their current lives, only add Jesus to it. But, we cannot be crucified with Christ if we desire to hold onto the life He died to save you from. He died so you can live. Eternal life was not a cheap gift.

So, when we lay down this life to have eternal life, we don't just gain eternal life, we gain Christ. Whatever this life has to offer pales in comparison to Christ and what we gain through Him. Even death itself loses its power over us. We stand secure in His finished work that paid the ransom and set us free.

Even in death we have life. We may pass from this life, but we who believe do not die like the rest of the world. We are absent from the body but present with the Lord. So, that is true gain even when it looks like loss. In Christ, we win. We have victory and eternal life. We can stand on this promise and take courage. Know Christ is the greatest gain to give you hope as you make a great day!
