Good morning! Sometimes, people who sin are embarrassed. They feel shame and like they can't go to God with their sin. We all need people in our lives who are able to help carry us to the feet of Jesus when we are too weak to carry ourselves there.
A righteous person's prayers are powerful and effective because the motive they have is pure. It isn't to get juicy information about your sin to gossip over lunch. It isn't to blackmail someone to keep their story a secret.
That is demonic behavior and has no place in the life of anyone, especially a believer. A righteous person brings healing, restoration and protection from evil. That's why their prayers are effective. Motives matter. Surround yourself with people who are full of the love of God who will pray for you and love you.
They will seek to restore you and cover a matter and only expose it to our great Mediator, Jesus Christ. He is the only One who can cleanse a sin and restore a sinner. And, not only surround yourself with others who will do this, but learn to be one yourself. This is the will of God for us to love one another. Be one who helps bring healing to others as you make a great day!
