Good morning! In the United States, today is known as "Tax Day" meaning it is the deadline to file your taxes for the previous year. We may not like taxes, but they are a part of life. It's important to put in godly leaders in office so we are not overtaxed into oppression and corruption.
Benjamin Franklin was known to have said, "but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." We all know the certainty of taxes and barring Jesus' return, we will all experience the certainty of death.
We are to pay what is owed to whom it is owed. Taxes to whom taxes are due, honor to whom honor is due, and to God what is due to Him. We could never repay the debt we owed or for the sacrifice He gave in Jesus Christ. But we can love and honor Him by living for Him every day. It is the only way we can be certain of heaven when death is inevitable. Be honorable by how you live so that every day you can know you did justly before God and men and make a great day!
