Wednesday's Devotional - 4/08/2026

Good morning! The fruit of the Spirit is important for us to have working in and through us to exude godly qualities. It's easy to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled when things are good and trouble free.

Anyone can be those things for a little while, but what happens when everything falls apart? What happens stress overtakes you? When tough times come, it can reveal what is truly inside of you. How much love do you have when one of your best friends betray you? How's your joy then?

That's what happened to Jesus. Yet, He never changed. His character never faded. He remained faithful. If we have any chance of being remotely like Him, we need the fruit of the Spirit living in us, working through us and conforming us to the likeness of the image of God. Ask the Lord to give you the fruit of the Spirit everyday. Ask Him to help you exude those qualities and give you the strength to stay in them always as you make a great day!
