Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! We are new creatures in Christ and given position and authority in the kingdom to do good works. We are not saved by these works, but do them in response to the good work Christ did in us to make us new. We've been reconciled to God through Christ.

As we have been reconciled, we have a ministry of reconciliation to help others know the truth and come to repentance and salvation in Christ. We are God's ambassadors pleading the case of heaven over the lost souls of earth, imploring them to be reconciled to God through Christ.

We need not fear because we carry the authority of heaven, the government that sent us to do the work of the kingdom. If we are met with resistance, all of heaven, the government that sent us, comes and backs us up. Remember Jesus at His arrest? He didn't fear all the soldiers who came and said He could call down twelve legions (72,000) angels to fight for Him.

Remember who you belong to and who is backing you. Don't be intimidated or imbibe the threats of the enemy. Follow God, be His ambassador with boldness and compassion as you plead with the lost to be reconciled to God. Remember your ministry and thank God for it, because He first sent it to you so you can then go to others and help them make a great day too!
