Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! God fulfilled His word concerning Jesus. Jesus came and spoke, but many would not hear Him because He didn't look like what they thought He should. It's sad that they were full of Scripture yet couldn't recognize Jesus, the living word, when He showed up.

Even though He showed up like the Scriptures said, their preference for fanfare and power clouded their vision. When Jesus shows up in your life, will you have eyes to see Him or will they be clouded by your preferences? Will you hear Him when He speaks or cuff your ears when He doesn't say what you want to hear?

If He looks too ordinary, will you ignore Him like the Pharisees did? If He doesn't answer your prayers in your timing, will you grow indignant or worship Him sincerely? In this season, will you surrender control and preference to His Lordship? Will you make room for Him to do whatever He wants to in your life even if it's inconvenient? Learn to hear Him and obey with gratitude for His goodness. He will lead you to always make a great day!
