Good morning! Reading this verse brings a Christmas song to mind that says, "Tis the season to be jolly." I know not everyone likes Christmas songs, but it is the season we think about the joy of Christ who came to the world to save us from our sins.
That's reason to be joyful at any time of year! Jesus is the Rock of our salvation and the joy of our hope for eternal life. We just finished Thanksgiving and it is a time for us to reflect on the goodness of God's provision and bounty. But it should be an attitude we have all the time.
We shouldn't choose joy only for certain times of year or specific holidays. We shouldn't only think about being grateful a day a year. It should be a constant theme in the lives of believers. It should be a daily practice of those who have the hope of Christ. Make it a habit to be joyful and thankful for all God has done to help you always make a great day!
