Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! The word of God is full of testimonies of God's goodness. It shows time and time again how God comes through in impossible circumstances. His plan of hope and redemption is evidence of His love, mercy and grace.

Have you rejoiced in His word? It is an extraordinary thing to have this documented over all these millenniums for us to have it still today with all cultural, moral and spiritual relevance. There are some things I'd rather not read or do, like love your enemies, bless those who persecute you and spitefully use you, but I have learned to rejoice in it.

It's because I was an enemy of God who spitefully misused His name and persecuted His people, yet in His grace and mercy, He redeemed me and gave me hope through forgiveness. This is worth far more than all the riches in the world. So, I may not be a millionaire, but I am extremely wealthy in the Lord's goodness. Think on His word, learn to rejoice in it and put it into practice as you make a great day!
