Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! What are you pressing towards? What is the goal of your life that drives every motivation and decision you make? What is the prize you are running to?

There are many things we can use as motivation and drive us to do good. My wife and kids are certainly a good motivation because I love them. And that's not a bad thing to push me. But if I'm honest, some days I don't feel the motivation for them.

Some days, my ability to provide for them falls short of my goals. Even if I go above expectations, there's still something that has a deeper need of fulfillment in me. This is where the call of God breaks barriers of expectation. It goes beyond motivation and drive.

It is something much deeper than emotional connection. The upward call of God causes me to wake up when I'd rather sleep in. It pushes me towards the prize of heaven and being forever in the presence of my Savior. It is the source of every other motivation I have that keeps me pushing and pressing on. Make the upward call of Christ your highest priority and He will always give you what you need to make a great day!
