Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Jesus' definition of love is not emotionalism or affection, but action. Love speaks the truth and lives with integrity. Love serves and meets needs; not merely showing affection. Love is more than a feeling.

Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commands." (John 14:31) Jesus was perfectly obedient in His love for the Father which is why He could be given the name which is above every name. He surrendered His will to not want to go to the cross.

He took up the Father's will to be obedient even unto death to show His love for the Father and the world. He kept every command of the Father so we could receive eternal life. When we keep His commandments out our love for Him, His love abides in us. Let others see the love of the Father in you as you make a great day!
