Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Here is another awesome devotional from my daughter, Sonja. Enjoy and be blessed by it!

Good morning, everyone! Today’s verse is a powerful one. God desires for us to offer up praise to Him. We are called to sing our praises to Him that it may be His “holy habitation”.

God inhabits the praises of His people. What is even more powerful is that He chooses to inhabit the praises of those who are fatherless and of the widows that people of this world overlook. He doesn’t deem our praise unworthy and throw it away, He honors the fact we see Him worthy of praise despite our circumstances.

By calling upon Him by name and praising Him through our circumstances, He restores through our praise by drawing close to us and satisfying us where we need healing and restoration, as He is seen as “a Father to the fatherless”. He also will hear us when we call upon Him by name and protect us just as He is “a defender of widows”.

Even when our circumstances look beyond anything we can handle, if we see God’s nature beyond our circumstances, we can still offer up our praise. God will not only accept our praise, but also satisfy, protect, and restore you by inhabiting the very song you give Him from your heart.

So, even when life isn’t going the way you want it to, or you’re struggling mentally, physically, or spiritually, don’t hesitate to praise Him and cry out the song laid on your heart to give to Him. Sing your love to Jesus. The Father will restore, protect, and satisfy you beyond what any earthly thing can do. But, above all, He will bless you with His holy presence. Never forget the love of God that even when we aren’t at our best, and frankly even at our worst, that He still chooses us and will choose our praise as His “holy habitation”.
