Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! No one is exempt from sin. It is the universal condition of all mankind. Everyone has told a lie, had selfish ambition, been rude, unkind, unloving, used God's name wrongly or some other offense. If you think you haven't, you are prideful and God's hates a proud heart.

It's so easy to sin and it comes so naturally. Just ask a two year old when their face is dripping with chocolate if they got into the cookies. They will usually lie to try to stay out trouble. Kids have to be taught how to do right, not how to do wrong.

We all need to be taught how to do right in God's eyes. Admitting you are wrong is the first step. Turning from that wrong and asking Jesus to forgive you is next. Putting your trust in Him and accepting this free gift is how you become justified through faith, by His grace and for His good purpose. Redemption is sweet and unearned. God is just that good.
