Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Writer: Bret SanorBret Sanor

Good morning! The context of this verse is addressing judgment. Verse ten asks why do you judge your brother or show contempt for him? It points out that we will all face judgment before Christ.

Sometimes, we get religious and sit in the seat of judgment and that is a dangerous thing to do because that seat is set apart for Christ. He alone is the only righteous judge. Trying to sit in His seat and do His job is well above anyone's pay grade.

The measure we use is the measure it will be used on us. We need to remember that Jesus is Lord and judge, not us. We cannot sit in His seat or take His place as judge. We will all bow our knees and confess with out mouths to God that Jesus is Lord and judge of all. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and let Jesus be who He is. He is perfect and just. Let that be enough as you worry about your own self and make a great day!
