Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through His divine power. He did so by the knowledge of Christ who called us by glory and virtue. That is what Peter wrote before this verse to give us context.

Through this knowledge of Jesus and by God's divine power, we have unmatched and priceless promises of eternal life, righteous living and eternity apart from sin. We are given a new nature that is without corruption. We are a new creature in Christ through faith and by grace.

We are promised to be partakers of His divine nature through this amazing grace. We have the promise of escaping the punishment of death for sin and corruption from the lust of this world. Hell doesn't have to be anyone's final destination. Jesus has given us a pathway to forgiveness is we just humble ourselves, come to Him in faith and repent of our rebellion against God. Thank Him today for His marvelous gift and generous love as you make a great day!
