Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! The goal for believers should be to become disciples. To believe doesn't mean to follow. Many people say they believe, but they don't follow Jesus. To be called a Christian in the first century was not a badge of honor, it was a derogatory term for believers.

Is there enough evidence of your walk to be termed a Christian by unbelievers? In order to be a disciple, you have to walk according to the word. Jesus equates obedience to Him as love for Him. Do you love Him?

His word is truth, He never lied. Everything He said and did was in accordance with the Scriptures in obedience to the Father. We can know the truth through the word. The more truth you know, the more freedom you will experience. You won't be deceived by lies when you know the truth.

Freedom comes through the truth. Fill your life with the truth and you will live in the freedom only Jesus provides. You will be His disciple and know how to live free and make each day a great day!
