Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! The world makes it very hard to have integrity today. It makes sin very accessible. At the tap of a screen, you can pull up just about anything at any time. We have to be intentional about doing good and abstaining from evil.

It starts with our relationship with Jesus. If that isn't pure, nothing else in our life will have purity. If Jesus isn't the center of our lives, then we will make every excuse for why we can't stop sinning or to justify our sin. Seek good and not evil that eternal life would be your portion.

Repentance isn't a popular word because it means to turn away from doing evil and to start doing good. It goes against the fleshly desires we have. We should seek justice that God would be with us; for He is just and does justly. He hates evil and so should we.

The desires of our hearts should align with the heart of the Father. Ask Him to change your heart and to give you the desire for purity. Ask Him to fill you with His desires and His word that as you hide it in your heart, you would not sin against Him. Renounce the evil things of this world and commit to living a holy lifestyle for God and He will be with you. Then, you can face anything as you go and make a great day!
