Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! People are on edge it seems. I think they are too involved with the worldly communication out there and allowing the divided narrative to get into their belief system. It has invaded the culture of the church which should not be.

We cannot speak to one another with such hatred and discord and expect anyone to believe us when we say God is love. If someone disagrees with you on something, pray instead of getting into an argument. I see so many people talking like they hate someone just because they don't agree on every single thing. Pardon me, but grow up!

Look at what the Bible says and then do it. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Ask Him to help others and to come to unity in the faith in Christ. As long as there are people, there will be opinions, differences and even disagreements. Love each other anyway! Speak to each other in love and kindness through psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.

The overflow of your heart should be a reflection of God's love, not of your opinions. Make a melody about Jesus in your heart with thanksgiving for His goodness towards you and others. This will glorify God and keep you humbly in step with the Holy Spirit. Walk with Him in unity and you'll be able to walk with others in unity. Do your best to love each other and to make a great day!
