Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! The first four words connect us from what was said before as a comparison to what is said after. We glory in something before we glory in something else. But what? We rejoice in hope of the glory of God which justifies us by grace through faith.

When we rejoice in goodness, we can glory in tribulations and trials because it is for His sake and not our own. We have something greater than ourselves to give us meaning and purpose for our lives. And all that suffering that may come for knowing Christ and doing His will is for our benefit.

How? Through tribulation, we gain strength to endure. Through endurance, we gain character. Through our character, we find hope and give hope to others. Through everything, God gets the glory and when we glory in Him, we gain eternal life. That is the ultimate reward and He is our ultimate prize. Rejoice today in Him as you make a great day!
