Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

ree

Good morning! October 2 is always a very memorable day in my life as I have shared about several times over the years. I was in an industrial accident in 2002 on this day that literally took my life as I was wrapped up inside a roll of sandpaper at my job.

I understand this verse very well, because though I died and got to see the reality of heaven, I saw my resurrected Savior who raised me from the dead when all human efforts could not. Though I were dead, yet I shall live.

I am alive today because of my Savior. I know I have eternal life, but He also gave me natural life for the second time. He is full of second chances and part of my mission that He gave me when I saw Him was to tell everyone about Him and His goodness.

Not only did He give me back natural life and grant me eternal life through faith in Him, but He restored my body, mind and soul after going through this traumatic event. There were parts of my life that I was told would never be again. I am not supposed to be able to play guitar, walk straight, have use of my left arm, or be able to live without symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, but I do!

I play guitar and do it well. I walk without any defectiveness. I even run and jump in ways the doctors still cannot explain. I have use of my left arm despite my radial nerve having been severed, because Jesus is a healer! I have no symptoms of PTSD because He restored my mind, healed my body and gave peace to my soul. This too is part of the resurrection life. Glory to God for His great love and power! I pray this inspires you to never give up and to keep finding ways to make each day a great day!
