Good morning! Verse one of Titus 2 says to speak of things which are proper for sound doctrine. It speaks to men and women in the passage on how to properly live every day life. Being sober, reverent, well-behaved and mature.
It says older ones be good examples for younger ones. Be patient, kind, loving and keep your speech from gossip and slander. In our society today, how much do the younger generations need to be taught some manners? How about respect for themselves, others and those in authority? How will they learn if no one teaches them?
How will they learn if those who are older do not practice it? How will they have hope if we speak death over them by saying they are worthless, useless, lazy, incompetent, a lost cause, etc? They act like they do because no one has taught them any different. No one has invested themselves into them to teach them how to live right.
Instead, we let social media and video sites teach them about life, behavior, sexuality and humanity instead of those they live near in reality. Instead of seeing them as a problem, we need to see them as an opportunity and invest, instill and disciple them to be Christ-like in all areas of their lives. Live right, act right, teach others to do the same and honor God by living for Him with diligence. Then, we can restore families, honor, respect and dignity in our culture and make a great day every day!
