Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Two verses before this passage give us context to the comparison being made to God's everlasting mercy. They says that mans days are numbered and his life is short like the lifespan of a flower and just as a flower dies and is carried away by the wind, so is the life of man.
Then, we see the hope in the midst of that seemingly depressing thought. God's mercy is eternal and without end to those who believe in Him. To those who follow Him, His righteousness is upon them, their children and grandchildren.
To those who obey His commands and keep His covenant, His legacy of grace is with them. From the mortality of man to the immortality of God and His mercy, we find hope in our Creator. His love, mercy, grace, righteousness and faithfulness are unchanging and eternal. Trust in Him, obey His commands, keep His covenant and live with a legacy of blessing that outlives you. Make a great day!
