Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Freedom is not free. It costs someone something to liberate another. Jesus laid down His life as a ransom to pay the penalty for our sins and free us from our bondage. That is a costly gift!

In light of the cost of this gift, let us live in such a way as to not take it for granted. Living for God makes no room for your liberty to serve the fleshly desires of sin. It rather serves others in reverence to God for His grace and mercy towards us.

Your freedom is not to give you the liberty to be entangled again in the same thing Jesus paid to free you from. It is to go freely and exemplify the love He has shown you and to allow His goodness to remind you of His grace. Go love and serve others as a thanks offering to God for how He has been good to you as you make a great day!
