Good morning! This ministry is a family ministry as i have emphasized before. For the rest of the week, you will be treated with my devotionals from my wife, Kelly. The one responsible for introducing me to Jesus is who I am blessed to be married to. Enjoy!
When Jesus was being crucified with a thief being crucified also on either side, both literally perishing, one saw Jesus’ death as foolishness. Even as the thief himself was dying in his sin, he still thought Jesus was just dying in vain.
The other thief on the other hand, was saved because he recognized who Jesus was and the power that dwelt in Him. God chose a way to save us that made no sense to our earthly way of thinking. Jews of that day expected the Messiah to come as an earthly king setting up an earthly kingdom to save Jews from the oppression they were under.
But God, chose for the Messiah to be a heavenly king setting up a heavenly kingdom with His throne ensconced in each of our hearts to save all of us (Jews & Gentiles) from the oppression of sin and death.
May we pray today that the lost will have their blinded eyes opened and their hard hearts softened to allow them to see and understand the plan of God for salvation and that they might be saved. May you be a witness to the evidence of God’s saving power to those around you and make a great day!
