Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Part of taking up your cross and following Jesus is knowing He'll ask you to go into places you don't feel comfortable with. He'll ask you to love people you'd rather stay away from. He will have you talking to people you'd rather ignore.

Have you taken up your cross? You may not like everyone in the church. God didn't tell you to like everyone; He told you to love them. After all, you are someone that someone else finds hard to love. Let His love for you live in you so you can love like He does.

He cares for the people you don't get along with. He loves you even when you are hard to love. Because of His great love, we also ought to love one another and be willing to lay down our lives for each other. Jesus didn't make excuses for why He couldn't love difficult people. He just loved them and died for them all the same. Ask Jesus to help you love like Him so you can make a great day!
