Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! It would be nice if everything always worked out the way we wanted. But, we wouldn't be strong if it did. Adversity builds character. Hope keeps faith alive and without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Faith is about trusting God when we have every reason to doubt in all situations. It's hard to trust who we can't see and what He is telling us to do without understanding how it will work out. It defies logic, takes discipline and a lot of trust.

We have to let go of wanting to be in control so that God can show us His sovereignty in our lives. When things are not working out, know that God is making them work together for good because we love Him. He has called us according to His purpose, so even when things don't work out in the moment, they will work out for the good that brings God glory despite opposition. Take courage to know that God is working it all out for good even when it looks bad to help you make a great day!
